A German Guilloché Enamel Ladybird Pendant
A German guilloché enamel ladybird produced in the interwar period, made in 935 silver with translucent red enamel over an engine-turned ground. The piece opens to a fully gilded interior, a feature associated with upper-tier Pforzheim workshops working between the 1920s and early 1930s.
Hallmarked with the German national crescent and crown and later struck with the Austrian import control mark, confirming manufacture in Germany and import into Austria after 1922. The construction, hinge work and enamel quality are consistent with premium German enamel novelties of this period.
