An Exceptionally Rare Georgian Heart Ring
A rare survival from the mid 18th century, this heart-shaped ring is a quiet declaration of love and loyalty. The white enamel bears the French inscription "A Jamais Fidélité" - Forever Faithful.
At its centre, a flower set with vibrant rubies and flanked by emerald-set leaves, still alive with colour after nearly three centuries.
Rings of this nature were intimate, symbolic objects, often exchanged privately. A closely related example can be found on permanent at The Victoria and Albert Museum, London (Accession No.M.170-1962).
