A Roman intaglio ring depicting Helios and a Griffin. This finely crafted gold ring features two joined rounded hoops, connected by intertwined gold wires. The centerpiece is an oval box setting housing an intaglio depicting Helios, the personification of the sun, facing left and adorned with a radiated crown. Below him, a griffin is shown in a dynamic stance, its left front leg resting on the Wheel of Fortune while gripping a sword.
